Calculators & PHP Image Things

Hey, I was woundering if any one could point me in the dicection to a GOOD tut on how to make php calculators like Runescape ones, or if some one could send me a basic one that I could learn from, also the same with images when you type somthing in a box and it will appear in a image, like a runescape sig or userbar.

Thanks but it's a bit late, I can make my own dynamic images now, & basic calcs I can't find any tuts on making them more advanced though.
