Now theres not gonna be 5 episodes of daleks, but 5 episodes of hybrid daleks.

They obviously did this to make daleks more scary for todays youth.

Yea proberly, here's some info on it:

'In the upcoming 2007 episodes Daleks in Manhattan and Evolution of the Daleks, there is a hybrid Dalek/human creature believed to be either the creation of Dalek Sec or a genetically re-engineered form of Sec himself. (The BBC press release for Network TV Week 18 indicates that the Hybrid is in fact Dalek Sec reborn in human form.) The hybrid has two very large, partially exposed brain hemispheres, a single, cyclopean eye and tentacles protruding from its head. (According to an article in the Radio Times, the tentacles are actually mobile and move in accordance with the hybrid's emotional state--i.e. writhing in a more active manner when the creature is angered.)'
