[URGENT] 360 Help

Ok about 5minutes ago my brother turned on our 360 and put in Oblivion and it was playing then he did something on the game and it crashed.

So I took the game out, turned the console off left it for a minute and then turned it back on to realise 3 flashing red lights sorounding the power button.

I read somewhere a while ago that it's refferd to as the ring of death or something along them lines, what does this mean and is there anyway to solve it?
This has happend before a few months ago, I just left the 360 off for a few hours and tried it again and it worked.

Wish I could.
He put £100 towards it, and parents are like you can't say he can't use it. Pfft .
