I like it because of the colours. They are nice. As you said very simple, why not try a more 'complex' search engine layout with 'Top searches', 'Last 10

Sorry its too plain and boring, it reminds me of the windows 1998 theme because of the grey, try changing it to something abit more 'exciting'.
