I'm sure you'd rather tham go through all of the applications they recieved, rather than skip through them which could incur in them ignoring yours? Depending on who is actually reading the applications, could be Emma - I wouldn't know, I'm sure they are told to do a set amount of them a day. This means it could take a while. As far as I know, the only emails gone out at the moment were the failure ones when you didn't write the correct subject in the email.
