If your not very good at layouts then dont use effects yet and use just squares etc or use images off the habbo website.

Stay away from so much gradient, a layout is not all gradient just parts.

Have a look at some tutorials.

Yeh kind of, at first dont use your own images and just work out a general structure that works with layouts then start doing your own.

Yeh, but dont apply gradients. It would also be useful to look at another layout and kind of base it on that.

paint is really good for making good layouts
