    Default Step parent update

    Hi all

You may remember a day or two ago when I posted about my idiotic step dad. Well, today when we had an arguement I went out the door and went to walk around just to calm off. When I came back, he was at me again and I kicked the kitchen door out of anger. (I admit I shouldnt have done it.) Anyway, things acted surprisingly normal, and the police came because mum rang them without me knowing. I saw two officers and was like 'omg.' and tried to run out the back door but it was locked. I had to talk to them, and they were very understanding. They told me after they heard both stories that it was pretty silly of mum to ring them, and she was over protective. They just this minuite gone, but I had to shake my step dads hand which I hated every second of. Considering I kicked a kitchen cupboard door and it caused no damage, do you think she should really have rang the police

    Poll aswell added.

yeah, you obviously needed to let it out, and you hit the door because you didn't want to actually hit him.

    that's what I do anyway.
perhaps your mum just doesn't understand that some people handle anger differently

im from a family that believes in irish traditions, one of them being that you dont lesh out like that and you have to hold it all in (unless its a drunken braul!) but people are disappointed in you if you lash out.

Yes if she called for your step dad
No if she called for you

Kicking/punching something inanimate is much better than punching an elder No matter how much you hate Him/Her (i know its a him but in other cases..)

Yes, because, if stuff had got out of hand, on whoever's part, its better if somebodie with pepper spray and a big metal stick is there basically.

Have you talked to your mum about it since?
