I jus want to suggest that people can edit their posts for longer than 15 mins, if you do a mistake or have something more to add. As 15 mins is just too short of a time period in my opinion.

15 minutes is time enough for you to read over a post and make any changes you require, if you have more information to add after the 15 minute editing time limit expires it is not against the rules to double post as long as the information you are adding is relevant.![]()
Yes but why can't we edit after 15 mins. Is there any reason?

This was put into effect a year or 2 ago now. It was taken away as people used to break the forum rules, have a moderator edit the post and then edit the post so it didn't break the rules and report the moderator for being "out of order". Or something similar.
It was changed so that people can't keep changing posts, but to accomadate this, the rules were changed so that you can double post after 15 minutes providing you are adding information to the last post.
