Isn't it weird how our society has begun to revolve more and more on online happenings and things that take place over the internet? Do you not find it at all odd that the single biggest pastime worldwide is now sitting in front of a computer? Well I sure find this fascinating....
Do you not find it orinic that in modern times having your computer crash is equivilant to about a mid-life crisis for most other people? I just find it very funny how we are all so dependant on something so surreal and that only exists through a vast expanse of cables, cords, and spinning disks.
Anyways, on a lighter note, what are your thoughts? What are your views on everything that is happening on the web today? Here is some food for thought, please post your thoughts/conclusions to let everyone know what you think:
Just some food for thought. Please post your ideas. I'm especially interested in the perspectives of web designers and coders who "make the web work".
- Web 2.0 - What is it? Who made it? Does it really mean anything? Is it truly the "new standard"? Why does everyone think its so great?
- Paid Scripts - Why do people buy them? Why do people make them? Why are people willing to put so much time and effort into something they won't ever get any kind of physical return on?
- Dial Up Internet - Why does everyone think it is so bad? Should we base site designs to load fast for dial-up users? How much of the web populous do they actually occupy?
- Hosting Startups - Why do so many people try if the majority just end up in the whole? Is it the major companies with rock-bottom prices that are killing the startups? Why don't people trust new arrivals even if they're site looks clean and professional?
- Forum Communities - Who came up with the idea? Why are they so popular? Why are some popular vs. others that are unpopular?
- IM - Isn't that what phones are for? What methods are considered trendy and which are obsolete? How does it happen/work and who came up with it?
Please only post logical/well thought out answers. Thanks![]()
