Clockwork cats are unlike other cats. To obtain a clockwork cat you must either buy one from another player or make one (requires a workshop level 15 Construction and level 85 Crafting). A clockwork cat does not require feeding and will not chase rats. In fact, it will do nothing but follow you around.
