    Default Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is aggression or violence that happens in the home when a grown up attacks or threatens another adult in the family.

Domestic violence can happen in any family and in all kinds of homes. In half of the cases of violence between adults, children get hurt too. Even when children do not see the violence happening, they often hear it. In nine out of ten cases, children are in the same or next room when the violence is going on. This can be extremely distressing and disturbing for them.

    Domestic violence - the facts:
    • In nine out of ten cases, children are in the same or next room when the violence is going on.
    • In five out of ten cases when there is violence between adults, children get hurt too.
    • One in four women experience domestic violence some time in their lives. Between six per cent and ten per cent of women experience domestic violence in any one year

If so... How does it make you feel?
    Does it ever get violent?

My parents, touch wood, are happy together and don't fight. They prefer to take the micky out of me instead of fight.

    Aren't I lucky.

No offence... but you shouldn't be asking such personal questions.

Yeah, just guessing but this could hit some people on the personal level. But since it doesn't really apply to me..
Mine are fine, there is an odd row over who is to holiday bookings or cook dinner sometimes, but nothing major. Even so, 'tis all sorted out an hour later.
I feel just fine and dandy x]

No once again, i find it easier to talk about things online then i do irl. Domestic violence can be awful. My mum and her ex boyfriend got violent and my older brother ended up taking me and my sister who was just a baby then and running away! After that we didnt see my mums bloke again. That was about 10 years ago, but il always remember it!
