Okay, i've got more credit on my namecheap account i've just created (had 2 create a new 1 after i forgot login for the 1 thats got domains expiring)
anyway, im in the middle of buying a domain on the
Checkout: Enter Contact Information
Page, anyway It says phone number and im putting down my number like:
0115 921 3443 (yes this number is a fake as im not allowed to give away personal info)
anyway, it says phone number must be numberic when i click continue?

yes no spaces and if its too number i cant remember with namecheap because i use my own host now put 044 then the other numbers in the next box.
Need a domain but dont have paypal... not to worry. You can purchase a domain via text or home phone at XeoDomains.mobi.

For my homephone, i just remember all the numbers in my head, and for each number just type a random number, e.g. (this is normally what i do

And i did that by entering random numbers for each number of my home phone. Do the same with your phone number
