    Default Operation :S

Omgg. I might have to have an operation on my nose to fix my sinuses and my nasal passage D:

    What's it like being anaethatised?

Don't say anything about what the gas is, my dad's an anaethatist xo.

If your dad is one, why not just ask him what happens?

Well when I had to have an operation on my leg, I remember them injecting me with the anesthetic. I don't remember feeling or seeing anything after that until I woke up. But after I remember having the taste of cheese and onion crisps in my mouth for a couple of days.

I have been put under multiple times with gas and injection and really it's quite a nice feeling, its just like you are fully alert one second a few seconds later you're falling asleep like you haven't slept for years, it isn't really anything omgz, but when I wake up I always feel ****.

Gas is horrible, injection is much better. Since you'll have to have a needle in your hand anyway for a drip when you come round you may aswell have injection anyway.
With gas you sort of fall asleep slowly, (unless you have morphine before, which you USUALLY only have with injection since the needles in your hand) it's horrible because you feel like your breathings restricted and stuff.
But with injection you just sort of go to sleep, it's much more peaceful.
I've had both, from when i snapped my arm in half because it took two operations to fix it.

I had to have some teeth removed because they were going to mess up the adult ones as they were coming through. I got on the bed, they ask me "do you want the gas or the injection? The gas is strawberry and vanilla smelland will make you laugh, the injection is just slower."

I liked the sound of vanilla and strawberry - The vanilla was too damn strong!! >=[

Anyway, They held the thing over my mouth, it didnt make me laugh at all like they said it would. But after 2 minutes I just went into a sleep. Sometimes you will see funny 'hippy-like colours and swirls, I didn't, But some people do. I tasted strawberry in my mouth for about 1 week after You feel funny when you come round. Some people cry naturally for some reason like I did, and I didn't know why. They move you to a room till you come round, or it could be intensive care, so you don't have a clue where you are

And btw I didn't have a drip in my hand :/ Apart from I could only eat with my 2 front teeth for 2 weeks

    Hope this helped

It's just like a wierd stuff that makes your throat go dry. You breath normally and in about 10 seconds your gone lol. And you wake up a bit drowsy. Feel yourself luck your not geting it through the needle. Had 5 operations so yeah it's not too bad

depends how long the op is, generally if it's over an hour you have a drip, since you get dehydrated.
