Default 6th earthquake in a month for Manchester!

The sixth one struck this morning at 5am, although it is small and doesn't cause much damage, people are worrying about what is happening.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/m...er/6969876.stm

Although they say its commen and it averages 9 a year in britain, I am sure that 6 in Manchester in one month and to make a news story is uncommen.

City has sixth tremor in a month
British Geological Survey photo of the seismograph showing a tremor that hit Manchester earlier this month
Seismologists have yet to confirm the Richter Scale reading
An earthquake has shaken Manchester for the sixth time in a month.

The minor earth tremor was felt in the city centre just after 0545 BST but there have not been any reports of injuries or damage to property.

Seismologists at the British Geological Survey (BGS) in Edinburgh have confirmed the quake measured 2.4 on the Richter scale.

A spokesman from the BGS said: "Much of the reports were of rumbling and faint shaking."

He added: "Some people said their beds rattled and moved. One person said a building creaked.

    ROFL at last sentence.

I say that the REAL reason for this happening is that for the first time in 17 years, Manchester City are above Manchester United in the league.

LOL. Oh wait the police will soon be investigating it for "terrorism"

Are we not allowed to have natural disasters and things anymore?

The greek forest fires are being treated as terrorist acts

Its very unlikely we'll get a huge earthquake as they are caused by two plates under the earths crust smashing into each other or rubbing together. As the UK isn't on the edge of one we only normally get very minor quakes. Citys like San Francisco are on the edge so they get major earthquakes
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.
