what do you write on the covering letter of a CV?

Mine's just 2 sides of A4 with stuff about me.

i was told to do a covering letter to, but i have no idea what to put on it.

yeah same usually but they asked for a covering letter and i was like "...ok" :S!

It points out to the employer the information showing that you have the qualities the job calls for, and makes a statement about yourself and your suitability for the job. It should give the personal touch that your CV will intrinsically lack.'

Most places dont ask for them really Any place which does is snobby and posh ;P
