can anyone else connect to wifi on wii?

I tried on mario strikers and just thought something is wrong with the game coz it takes a while to come on after pressing start and then when i try and play wifi, it says cant connect and freezes the whole wii... Then i tried fixing the settings on wii settings and it cant connect, can anyone else get on? or is it just poor ol' unlucky me?

Something is wrong with the Wifi.
Is your Wii far away from the router? Try moving it closer if you can and seeing if you can get a connection.
I had Wireless-B router and network adapter, and my Wii didn't work, but now I have Wireless-N and it works.... so maybe you just need to upgrade.
