To find the dusty key, I think you go down into some area, kill a guard to get the key to let this guy out and then he'll give you a dusty key as a reward. I'm not 100% sure, but you could check zybez's for it.

And, they are down in Taverly Dungeon, and there is safe spots but there is also Blue Dragons down there, so I'd watch out for those, depending on your level.
