    Default This is a little hard to explain..

    but i'll try - lol.

    at the moment, my hair just has a straight parting down the middle, all the way...

    this might sound weird - I don't know if people do this in the UK - I never saw anyone do it when I lived there.
    But if I pushed the back half of my parting back - not necessarily giving it more volume or anything, but just pushed it back.. how do I get it to stay like that?

    I've tried hairspray, a load of products - but within an hour, my parting just comes back.
    (I've also tried back combing a little, that doesn't work either)
    I have really thick hair... is this why it doesn't work?

    thanks for any help :}

    your hair gets used to the way it lays after a while, so it you have a certain style for a long period of time it tends to 'fix' in that style.
    it's like when i used to have a side fringe and i wanted a full one, it took me ages to get rid of the parting and it always seemed to come back, i found a good way to fix it is to sleep with your hair clipped into the position you'd want it in, and then eventually it should start to stay.

    You could also try Straighteners + wax. Thats always good for holding hair in place.
