    Question Oliver Musical! [?]

I didn't know where else to post this... so I did it here

Okay, Im Matty and i'm 12. My sister is auditioning for Nancy in this musical, which is on the same Basis as how do you solve a problem like mariah and any dream will do. SOOOOOO.... She said she'd do it if I did ... So we are. We are both applying for oliver and nancy, brother and sister

So, we have to prepare a couple of songs that include singing (obv.) and acting, has anybody got any good ones I could use so I could get through

    Cheers aswell

I was going to audition for Nancy, but it clashed with something else so I didnt bother.
I look at the site etc.

I'd take the site's advice and sing 2 songs that show off you're voice range.
    Good luck though!

    Lol

I dunno whether to tell my mates cos it'll be soooo embarassing if I don't make it. But I'm probably going with the X-Factor song and westlife Im already there, but theres not really anyway to show acting skills in there, only emotion

I really shouldn't say that to the official coolest habboxforum member, but i'm feeling slightly rebellious.

Don't sing a westlife song if you're auditioning for a musical theatre role

How old are you? and what's your vocal range? gender? http://www.stageagent.com/audition_songs/index.php try searching on here, or i can probably suggest some songs. make sure it's comfortably within your range, and that you warm up your voice properly - scales etc. choose something without big intervals too - unless youre very confident at singing them/have perfect pitch

research your character. find a monologue or something that can demonstrate feeling and your ability to fit into any role. dont choose a cliche audition song eg tomorrow from annie/on my own - les miserables.
    I'm defying gravity.

I'm now at university in Worcester. I'm not around on here much, but PM/e-mail me if you wish.

I don't know, is it another reality musical thing? They don't really seem to care if you can act, look at Connie Fisher.
