    Default eBay.

I sold a car stereo on eBay about 18 months ago. It was a 6-disc indash cd changer, XM radio, climate controls. This stereo was removed from my car and was sitting in a box in my basement, so I decided to sell it on eBay! I got like $400 for it, no warranty was expressed or implied, buyer was responsable for installation and to make sure the unit would fit their car.

Today I got an email that was from the buyer saying it broke?

I don't know what to reply back with? It's not my fault it broke, and number 2 it's a 5 year-old unit, he bought it a year and a half ago?

    I don't think it's my fault?

Don't worry about it. If he bought it from you on eBay a year-and-a-half ago, there's nothing he can do. He can't complain to eBay and make a dispute on PayPal. Just say that he's had it in his possession long enough, and that you have washed your hands of it.

all I know is that it worked perfectly fine for the week I had it and the only reason I sold it was because I bought a nav unit instead!

He'll probably buy it off you and use it as an excuse to launch a PayPal dispute. Or not.
