If we aren't allowed to post images of ourselfs, just links. Why is that moderators remove the picture, but don't make it into a link which is allowed?

Good question! I'm not sure actually, maybe it's because we usually PM the user asking them to remove it (if it's in their avatar/signature etc.) which gives them the option to either replace it with a link or remove it altogether.
Usually if it's in a post then it will either be warned or infracted as it's against the rules and we have to remove it immediately.

Well most of the time the people who embed the images use attachments which you cannot get the direct link off, When it's newer users I have changed the embed image to a link in the past anyway

I dont mind changing it to a link as it shows users how to post pictures correctly, so maybe we could do so later on.
