    Default General question

Few of you own big site's (E.G: GoldenMerc)
yet you use free panel's for rare values etc..

I seen in a few threads ''We've got rare values intergrated to our panel''

but your forum's fairly big, and you probabaly have a few Site techies, so why don't you make your own stuff?

    - Not being snobby, just wondering.

Most of the time none of site techies can actually code so they have no-one to do it for them which is the reason they tend to go to free scripts. Also, whats the point in coding a script if there's going to be only 3 people looking at it and the free options integerates into your site and works fine?

I'm guessing most habbo fansite owners are between 15 and 17 years old (I think).
And I don't think they are prepared to put some funds into their site, although in my opinion, it is not possible to create a professional, good quality and well visited website without putting funds into the site.
From layout to scripts to advertisements.

I just don't think these people are prepared to pay for something on their site (yet).
But they will learn later on then I asume.

That's a risk website owners have to take, in order to make money from vip memberships or advertisements, they have to put some money into it, so the people would be interested in the site & it's features.

    If you get my point.

If it looks exactly the same as everyone other one or does the same purpose then the average habbo user wont care whether it's been custom designed for the site and also as Oli said no-one wants to invest into something which will most likely fail anyway (95% Habbo Sites).

yeah, it's worth putting the money in, but not really for a Habbo fansite IMO!

Yes, but you said it yourself.
With a free script it looks exactly the same as other sites and only a few people, mostly friends then, would visit your site.

Believe me, if you have a custom script with custom features and a good advertisement plan, your site will be interesting and will have quite a few, if not alot of users

The main goal of the site is to keep the user interested, if there are new things once and a while the users would tend to stick with your site and not go looking for a different one.

Yeah.. but, if they have techies and hundreds of user's they could throw a competition or something, without having to pay.
