Well yeah it is everyone hates it

I haven't been able to play on world of warcraft for 3 whole days
    I bought the discs
    downloaded
    downloaded the patch

    then installed the patch
then when i try to play wow it freezes on the "Blizzard entertainment" video thing

If its the movie which makes it crash then its got nothing to do with the patch, i haven't heard anyone else complain either. Also you said you just got it so you don't know, it might be your computer as you wouldn't of run it on any other patch. ;P
    Sorry if i'm wrong.
You sure your computer can handle WoW and if i can, just hiy 'Esc' when you video starts so it skips it. ^__^

He said he done that and it froze, look Will!! Naughty!
Anyway, erm. I'm not sure, Delete your cache folder in your WoW folder, but im not sure if that will solve that problem or you could try fixing it, go to your WoW folder and run the fixing program.
If that fails i'm totally out of ideas, its weird. Try sending them a bug email thingy. They might help. :]

My PC has all the requirements to run WoW, I had the exact same problem. I deleted a bunch of crap and uninstalled programs I needed, cleaned it up a bit and it worked but it was very very laggy. So I gave up.
I only started playing when I got my laptop.
I really do think it's your computer.

Yea, on my old computer, i just had recommended spec and it was laggy as hell!
So i brought a new computer, it might be because you have low ram or gfx card. That will cause graphic lagg. ;[

Might be your graphics card, certainly was on my old computer.

Oh, and I don't know of anyone who hates patch 2.4 tbh.
