    incoming: mail.mysite.com
outgoing: mail.mysite.com (plus the sectuiry thing on)

Anybody got any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I've read the outlook setup guide on webmail but it doesn't help :@

It could be something really simple such as a firewall blocking the program from sending data outside your PC. Try finding it in your firewall settings

Try with SSL off and port 26.

Who is your ISP? Some ISPs block port 25, which is used to send outgoing mail. As a result of this, some hosts enable outgoing mail on port 26, which may be worth a try.

Try another piece of software, this way can see if it's Outlook or your server/host that's causing it. I'd recommend Mozilla Thunderbird.
