    my pc freezes when i have explorer.exe running, when i close it using task manager pc is fine. it uses 100% cpu LOL

    how do i fix? ty +rep

    It's explorer.exe not iexplore.exe. If you end task explorer.exe it will automatically restart because it's basically the start bar etc. isn't it? Anyway, it'll use up a load of cpu if applications in it are crashing I believe. Sorry... not an expert on it.

    Oh i thought it was IE, sorry

    I think something like rhis happened to me, I closed it, and on task manager used the 2nd nav menu and opened stuff from there, then abit later it sorted itseldf out

    yes this definitely sounds like a virus. Explorer.exe is one of the most well known processes because it's vital. For you, it appears it has either been replaced by a virus or a virus has been injected into it... which is pretty hard to get rid of. Try googling: ad aware and get the free edition. Ad aware does good scans.
