they're not for me i dont think, but i do know how creative and influential they are. my friend who's also the singer in our band is obsessed with the flaming lips. i need to get the soft bulletin, because apparently you don't know the lips till you hear that album, but from what ive heard i'm indifferent.

Only heard one song - It Overtakes Me, which is really good. It was off that awesome Becks advert. :] Am gonna listen to some of their other stuff noowww.

Yeah, a lot of my irl friends arn't into them but I guess they're all mainstrem lovers. I'm listening to Yoshimi Battle the Pink Robots and it's fantastic, however Soft Bulletin is nothing short of great either.
