Default Stupid People (Stupid People don't read this)

A lot of people on Habbo are stupid. Aside from the grammatical issues I could get into, let me explain what I mean.

n00b. Yes, everyone's favorite insult. But, why? What does it actually mean? Most everyone agrees that it means someone that acts stupid, as it is derived from the term "Newbie" which denotes someone that is new to a site.

So, would a scammer be considered a n00b? Most assuredly not. They are far from it. Most scammers have some working knowledge of the hotel, they know how to get the information they need from people, and they are good at what they do. Some scammers are so involved in their scams that they actually even set up flashsites mimicing the habbo log-in applet. Very clever in it's own right.

So, anyone that would call a scammer a n00b is a stupid person, and is vastly under estimating them.

Next is one of my favorite stupid phrases, "I have been hacked!" No, you have not been hacked. You did one of several very stupid things.

    • You gave out the email address your habbo account is registered with.
    • You downloaded a program for "free credits" or maybe a "dice rigger" to cheat on Habbo yourself.
    • You went to a link outside of www.habbohotel.co.uk/.com/.com.au (Or whichever Hotel you use.)and fell for a fake log-in site.

Think about what you are saying. Do you think someone that has the skills needed to actually hack into your computer would waste their time on pixelated habbo credits when there is so much money that could be stolen? If your answer yes, then you are a stupid person.

Habbo Trading. I am sitting in my trade shop on Habbo and a stupid person asks me what I want for my throne. There are several things wrong with this scenario from the begining.

    • The description of my shop clearly states read the stickies.
    • The sticky tells how much I want for my throne.

I tell them to read the sticky, then a little while later I get a reply similar to, "OMG U R A SCAMMER." Now, why am I a scammer by asking 25 HC sofas for my throne? Why am I a scammer for asking for 10 Creds of furniture for a Holodice? THe only response I can ever get is because that isn't worth that much, which I reply, "To me it is." Of course, this makes them "LOL" and tell me I will never sell it. Which is exactly why it is 25 HC Sofas in the first place.

Anyone that would call someone a scammer for wanting to evoke capitalism in Habbo is a stupid person.

And my favorite group of stupid people are people that get scammed. If you get scammed you HAVE done one of the following (VERY few exceptions).

    • Downloaded a keylogger.
    • Gave your password to someone.
    • Gave your personal email address to someone.
    • Clicked Agree on the trade box too quickly.
    • Gambled at a casino.
    • Fell for a fake log-in site.

If you do not have the brains to keep yourself from being scammed by one of these OBVIOUS scams, you are a stupid person.

Getting Banned. If you have been banned on habbo, you did something wrong. I was banned once on habbo, for flooding. I did it, I own it. It was a 2 hour ban and I have not been banned since. I do not understand how people can do something wrong, get banned, then be mad at Habbo and the Hobba that banned them.

    Don't want to be banned?

    • Don't swear.
    • Don't flood.
    • Don't script.
    • Don't scam.
    • Don't harass others.
    • Don't give out your personal details.

    It's that simple. 6 things.

And anyone that gets a PERM ban is even more stupid for complaining about it. (Or even TELLING anyone about it for that matter.) If you were Perm Banned, you were banned by a Staff member, and not just some Hobba. Perm bans are not given out lightly and to get one you have to either do something VERY wrong, or have a history of doing the same thing over and over again.

My last one will be for those members of this forum that will not read this far into my post and will actually reply (Yes I am foretelling the future here) "That was way too long, I ain't even going to read that." If you aren't going to read a post, why would you even type that out? Some jerk like me may actually be laughing at you before you even type it, knowing how much of an idiot you are in advance.

Well, that about does it for this bit..

I did actually take the time to read all of that, and I agree with almost all of it, except the banning part.

People do get banned for saying "bobba", why? The word's been filtered, so why bother banning people over it? It kinda takes away the whole point of the filter, really. What if the habbo's saying it are new to the site and don't know what the filter is? Yeah, maybe they should read the FAQ's. People who say "bobba" over and over again though should be banned, I just don't agree with Hobba's banning you over one solitary "bobba". And yes, I have been banned for that.

    Very nice post though, X.

On several occasions, I have been in a room with several members of staff at once, including YaTwice, Supreemio, and Dirk Gently, and have both bobba'd, and also saw them bobba.

The filter is a safety net to catch people that may want to expose children on the site to bad language. It is not a replacement for moderation. Intelligent hobbas will see the difference in the context of a conversation and in most cases will not ban you for innocent transgretions.

If you use the sentence, "bobba off" it COULD be a very simple matter of the filter catching your swear word, and if a hobba deems it worthy of a ban, as you may be entitled to under the Terms of Service we all agreed to when creating our habbos, you may recieve one.

However, in my travels, I have found something bobba'd that I have no idea why..

Numbers over 99,999 are bobba'd. (Or were to my last knowledge)

It's very odd if you ask me.

(However.. don't get me started on the filter. I could write pages on why I think it is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen online.)

They say it's to stop kids giving out their phone numbers, they neglect to tell you it's also patched scripted photos.

It is also to prevent people from giving out their password because the Min. Characters needed to create a password is " 6 " and the digit 99,999 has only 5 characters .

    It's easy to understand .

I agree with you alot perhaps some stupid people will actually read that, when someone comes into a room saying they have been hacked or scammed I normally say 'Tell someone who cares, idiot' which they are as they are to dumb to read the FAQ's and/or look at what they are trading for etc.

FOR THE LOVE OF PETE READ YOU 'STUPID PEOPLE'.

I highly agree with X and if anyone asks me for furni I will be heartless, espeically if they were scammed of it. DUmbys
