This pretty much, forum mods need to stop closing the threads and something else needs to be implemented, maybe some kind of system where mods can ban users from a thread?

It would be more useful than just closing the thread and ending the conversation, even if the mod says that they can continue it's still really annoying and a waste of space reading through one thread only to have to read another which given the most recent "drama" in the technology forum didn't help at all, the person just kept on arguing.

Usually threads are only closed if they go completely out of hand. Users are still dealt with even after its closed.

Aye I know that, but there needs to be a banning system to stop threads going out of control as 1 guy set off a 2 thread argument, with like 9 people telling him to stop / get out etc. He didn't listen, it didn't get taken care of and the argument continued in another thread.

That's what happens when people ruin things for the rest.

If a user is causing trouble please report him in the report rule breakers forum.
