Lil wayne - lolly pop reminds me of summer.

[mini rant] but the ones where they constantly use the n word is degrading. not only are they degrading themselves but their ancestors and every black man alive. [/mini rant]

****** is a good word, it should be used excessively wherever possible in rap.

Rap is hardly bearable anymore, the majority of the good rappers are either dead or have just pulled themselves out of the limelight.

Tbh, the 'n' word isn't considered degrading amongst the black community. Although the 'white' people in the past have used it as a degrading term to black people.

Lately I have gotten into more rap, and im more of a rock/indie/punk kinda guy. I love N*E*R*D and Kanye West.. and lupe fiasco.

Yeah those sorts of rappers are basically indie rappers, they rap for the charts and have a distinctly different sound to a lot of other rappers. I view them as rappers for white indie kids basically, and the Child Rebel Soldier song (with Pharrel of N*E*R*D, Kanye and Lupe) proved that I think by firstly being exactly the style I predicted it would be and secondly having Thom Yorke play in it

yeah, i lol'd when they sampled "the eraser." kanye and lupe and all those guys are my favorites but they really are rap for white hipsters. they make it onto the charts fortunately because they are good songs, but i went to a kanye west concert a few weeks ago, and if you saw the majority of the crowd you'd probably believe it was a dave mathews concert.

anyway, i think rappers would stop using the n word if the majority of listeners didn't approve. it's the same way with it being degrading to women. too bad that a large portion of people who listen to commercial rap are women, and they actually seem to be embracing it.
