I prefer infractions over user notes, infractions where a lot better because people could keep track of their behaviour and it was a lot better for moderators, now the moderators are working like they're slaves when they're going out of their free time to moderator for free. I don't see why you don't just keep infractions as it saves time and user notes doesn't really benefit anything.
So yeah, post here if you agree. Like the otherday I got a PM about a warning and I don't even know if that's going to be used against me as a bad user note..

You have to be fairly persistant to even get an infraction. As for "getting a PM" that's what you get before you get an official warning. It's more like a nudge back into line rather than an official punishment, which a warning is. It builds good relations between mods and users and mods usually receive polite "ok, nice one" type messages in return which makes their jobs more pleasant. Yes, a bit more time has to be spent actually typing out the PM, but that's why there are 3 or 4 moderators in some sections so the workload is spread out
