I'm starting off by doing 35 morning, 35 night.
How long approx. should it take to do 35, as I think I'm taking too long? I'm doing them fast as well (trying to lose some pounds).

Crunches are meant to be slow and effective, so take your time.![]()
Is a hippopotamus a hippopotamus or just a really cool opotamous?
Right youv'e jumped ahead here
Try and progress, work out your core for the first week about 2-3 times with recovery days so you don't cause injury or fatigue.
Im really being lazy so ill only explain this brief.
35 crunches, well that all depends on your fitness level, there's not really a set time
for crunches because some people do them faster than others. But if your looking to
gain muscle then do them slow and with resistance, don't let momentum take control.
Not much more to say really, good luck!
And i suggest doing a range of different types of crunches, you will see much better results
Well OTD, I have been doing them for a few weeks now, I just thought I was taking a bit longer than it should really.
Thanks for the advice you two. =]
Argh wrong again. All you're going to do is slowly ware down the muscle. You need to do 50-70 every 3-4 days so your stomach muscle can rest.
I hate crunches, do some other method of excercise![]()
Crunches are bad for your back.

do jack knife sit ups fast
like raising you feet in the air and keeping them there then try and touch them, kinda like a crunch but not
i just do 100 in the morning lol
I reccomend doing pulses first then going into crunches. Keep going back a small ammount at a time and do 8 forward, 4 per side, then 4 alternating. Keep going a little bit further back each time. And then when you do your crunches do them mixed with knees up, legs flat and also legs in the air.
