Default I need to convince my mum...

Right, I have a mole on the side of my face, it's on my right cheek, but I have a fringe that covers it. Most people don't know that I have a mole on my face, because i can cover it quite good. And anyway, I went to the doctors with my mum to get it removed, and to get it removed I have to get surgery, meaning I will have quite a big scar. This mole is medium size, and i do hate it, i got made fun of when I was little about it. So like, i'm desperate to get it removed, but the thing is, my mum doesn't want me to get it removed. I do truly want it removed, because I think it makes me look uglier then I am. I hate the way people say, ''Oh you look lovely with a mole on your face, everyone else is just jealous,'' welll their not. It does make you look terrible, theirs nothing nice about it.

But all i need to know is, how can I convince my mum to let me get it removed :S

A very close friend of mine recently had a mole removed from her collarbone area, and it's left a 5cm long scar, looks quite red - It's been a few weeks and the scar is clearly visible...

As for convincing your mum; try and tell her how it's affecting your quality of life?

And personally; everyone gets teasted about something... I've been teased for my looks throughout my life; you just deal with it

No, I've been bullied most of my life, and I can't handle it anymore.

And tbh, i've said it to her, how i feel, but she still is against the idea.
She thinks I look beautiful with it, but thats how parents are supposed to feel.

Will you be happy with the scar though? It's not something that wouldnt be noticeable either.
I've never really had anything on my face like a mole to be teased about so I dont know how it feels.
If you want it that bad tell your muum how it makes you feel and that she shouldnt stop you from having confidence.

I truly wouldn't mind a scar tbh, even if it's noticable. The doctor made me feel worse with having the mole. He was like ''Your fringe won't be always able to cover it, y'know?'' and like, it's okay with a scar, 'cos it would be like an acne one, but probably worse?

Say you're afraid the mole will get infected.

That's a pretty poor example though, there's probably some way of getting pictures of the really mank ones.

i have no idea what you're fretting over, moles are alright unless they are like massive and hairy, some people have theirs on their top lip and they are absolutely vile, you should feel lucky it's not worse. i have moles all over the top of my head & i quite like them

Moles can carry/hold/can contain cancer ive heard. And to all the people saying "ugly scars" and "scars are awful" etc, scars are just whats left of something, kind of like a memory, so they mean something, and i think all of my scars look pretty cool, however small they are lol. Tell your mom that you dont want to get cancer (if its true what i said in bold) and you want it removed. Sorry if i wasnt much help.
