Yes I think so, if there wasn't, its just another way of creating inequality in the supposedly 'equal' society, also if they want to do it, I don't think there should be anything in their way of achieving their goals.

This all breaks down to a matter of belief in religion, so everyone has their own "belief" to it, but yet might not go into action anyway.

A lot of people won't care anyway, as hardly anyone (Stereotyping Britain here.) gives a damn about the Church.

It depends, socially I think yes, but the bible clearly states women shouldn't be teaching the bible. So it's a yes and no answer really. I think they should, they're not any different than men in teaching services.

Yup, as said it's all down to belief of Religion.

I have a bible infront of me, the things it says about women is damn right discusting! Deuteronomy 22 verse 5 "A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this." What on earth is men's clothing? What is women's clothing? Technically they all the same, except ones are tailored to suit different genders. Does this mean women should not wear shirts, trousers and boxers, for these are usual men's clothing? I would like to know what was going on in whoever wrote Deuteronomy's mind.

My favourite and most random thing from the bible is God calling soldiers "women," because he thinks women are unclean and whimpy. I love the bible's rudeness, no wonder no-one truly follows it word for word

Romans, which is the new testiment says women should be silent in church and should not be permitted to teach. The weird thing is, at my church the women take the children for Sunday School and teach them. There's nothing wrong with that :/
