Ok, I am trying to start conversations with the opposite sex without sounding creepy or weird... but I don't really know how. I'm really shy.

Some things I thought of I could say would be like:

but idk what to say.. cause if i go up to a girl and say she is cute / pretty, she might think im creepy and looking for sex. what should i do?
