I'm getting it again because of the exclusive content things. Got a challenge for myself too - "Bananahs And The Wrench" : complete the game on Survivor, with vita chambers turned off and using only the wrench.

    In a nutshell:

Your plane crashes in the middle of the sea, you discover a small lighthouse and find a elevator inside which goes down into the depths of the ocean... to discover Rapture, a secret city full of artists and the great thinkers of the world, until mutiny and addiction take over.

But there's a LOT more to it than that

I heard it wasn't that good, but from what you said.. it sounds pretty good :] as long as it isn't just about one thing.. like saving little girls or something.

It's bloody brilliant and one of the best games I've ever played, the story is really well done and the gameplay got so godamn addictive on the 360.

There's a lot more to it than blowing and beating up giant, fishlike humans in bathysphere and steel suits and desperately running down a corridor to get to the medical station while the guys running after you with his drill spinning.
