ALICIA KEYS WINS BOND THEME?

Alicia Keys has signed up to sing the title song for the new James Bond movie.

According to E!, the American R&B singer has impressed the producers of Quantum Of Solace.

"I believe Alicia is the winner," said an insider.

Amy Winehouse,Beyonce, Mark Ronson, Leona Lewis, Jack White, Duffy, Duran Duran and Annie Lennox have all been linked to the movie's soundtrack in recent months.

If this is true.. I'm glad she got it, she's talented and I can imagine the theme being something with huge dramatic production like "Karma" except at an even higher level than that. Still would have preferred Beyonce but at least it's not Amy Winehouse who'd be too cracked out to sing or Leona WHO HASN'T DONE ENOUGH TO DESERVE IT (same with Duffy)..

You never know though, these sites & magazines make up utter crap most of the time.



I can see a lot of people being annoyed with this, but talent wise she deserves it. She writes her own music, plays the piano and provides a very different take on R&B/Soul. I'm glad for her.

LOL, the Leona doesn't deserve it argument, again. I'm not even going to argue the case because it's pointless, it's clear she has. Alicia hasn't released material worthy of something like this since Songs In A Minor and The Diary of Alicia Keys. Amy's voice suits it far better than Alicia's.

LOL exactly, of course Leona would be suited for it, big ballad voice and she has cracked the whole world in term of sucess, Alicia only sells good in the US Although I do love Alicia, I would rather Leona or Duffy get it.

I think you're forgetting how much of a success No One was, and how high quality her latest album is. Whatever though, you'll just argue because you can't stand the fact I don't hold Leona in the highest regard.

Leona Lewis did not deserve this, people like Alicia key's are amazing and have been around selling there songs for a long while - with great success. An her voice dosn't suit it? Hello she's got an amazing voice .. No One was an amazing success in US and UK by the way honey.

Her latest album was bad compared to her earlier albums, material wise. Yeah I will argue it, but not for that reason - Leona has a far better chest voice than Alicia and can mould her vocals around anything. Alicia's chest voice isn't as powerful hence why she sounds like she's whining and struggling when she hits some of her higher, more powerful notes.

If you're going by success of an album, why are you saying that Leona doesn't deserve it? As I Am's best rating was 4/5, professionally and that was out of 10 reviews. Her average was a 3/5. Whereas Leona's album received better ratings as well as a better reception and easily achieved awards.

It doesn't matter that you don't hold her in the highest regard, the facts speak for themselves. I don't mean to poke either but have you even watched the James Bond films? The theme songs tend to be jazzy; Amy, Leona or Duffy would be a perfect fit for that genre of music.

How can she not deserve it? Yes, she does have a good voice but it doesn't match Leona's powerful vocals.

Yes but she was on a TV show, of course her first song would be a hit and yes she does have an amazing voice that will bring her a bright future. Though Alicia keys has had much more catchy song's, that have also shot her straight to stardom. Alicia key's did desereve this, her moment for all the hard work she has put into song writing, piano playing and singing which can I just say is a hell of hard work, all Leona does is sing.

I'm glad Alicia got it before Leona, obviously the people know what there doing. There was clearly reasons why they didnt pick Leona over her.. :S

All Leona does is sing? LOL, she has fully written two un-released albums, of course she isn't going to write every track on her official debut, it would be foolish seeing as people have invested millions into her career.

LMAO I wasn't trying to be patronizing, but if you find that it was then your problem not mine. No One was number 2 in like Billboards hot 100's.
It still was pretty big I dont know how far it got up in the UK charts but considering it was played every 5 minutes of the day I'm considering it got far. However much you want to downgrade her amazing voice and her beauty she will still be way above Leona Lewis. She is amazing, considering she writes her own songs, plays piano and sing's - yes she does alot more then Leona "honey".
