    Default laptop computer keeps overheating..

    laptop computer keeps overheating.. and shuts down..

    usually happens when i have alot of things up/ play computer games..

    it my laptop..

    i've cleaned the fans and stuff but still overheats sometimes..

    i dont want to buy those fan coolers that u place on the bottom of the laptop, any ideas on how to stop my laptop from overheating?

    Maybe have a look at something like speedfan that cazn control how fast your fans go then when you have a bit open keep fans at full.

    makesure the fan isn't covered over.

    Prop it up on something somehow so air can flow underneath it rather than it touching a desk or whatever.

    As they say don't block the fan

    the problem with laptops (most) is that the fan intake is underneath right wher you'd put your leg (unless you have the acer aspire 6920g inwhich case its built into he hinge do you never get a hot leg again) causing it to block and overheat.
    A base fan does work.. one avalible from ebuyer.com for £20 is what i used on my old laptop while it was having its fan replaced (it stopped working, i stabbed it... had to replace it) which worked fine

    thanks guys, yeh its underneath and i really need to give it some room along the bottom, thanks guys..

    I had this problem with my laptop, But after awhile it just stopped.
    Don't leave your charger in it forever
