    Default iPod

Basically I'm using my Grandad's PC.

He has an iPod with iTunes and I want to plug mine into this PC to download a podcast.

Is there any way I can do that, without all of his music syncing onto my iPod?

Tick the "Manually manage music and videos" box on the iPod summary page.,

Where can I find that before I plug mine in?

Also before I download anything I haven't actually created an iTunes account, I guess I would have to do that on my PC?

Plug your iPod in, click the X in the top bit near "Syncing" to cancel the sync, then click Blah's iPod down the side and untick it, job done.

And that will allow me to download my podcast?

For example is the iTunes user profile, held to the computer or the iPod?

I don't think you need an account for Pod Casts.

And no, you should be able to just login.

You shouldent need your account for podcasts unless you paid for it, and are looking to reclaim it on a new PC.
