    Default Isnt this stupid?

The age for cigs went up to 18 on monday in Northern Ireland

BUT its my companys policy that we have to id anyone that looks 21 or younger, and put it in a book so it proves they're 18, but its impossible to tell peoples ages, and everyone gets so angry when you ask them for ID LOL.

But we have to do it, because we get secret shoppers in who could be any age asking..

Hardly stupid, thats how it is over in England. :S

If you ask em for ID, it's their fault if they have it on them or not. I'd be complimented if I were older and got asked for ID, it'd make me feel younger lol. God I've been talkin to me mum too much, but yeah, why would someone get angry over it? Silly irish.l

Jake, not everyone sells their goods that easily.

Yes that was an innuendo at your sexual nature, and damn you love it.

most people dont know its changed, and get confused and think its 21, and then others are like 'i left my id at home sorry' when they look 16, but keep at you they're 22 LOL, get really angry and start swearing at you. I also had to ID this guy who stabbed someone, hes scary.

And then the refuses book, you have to keep filling it in. Then you get the ones with fake ids blahhhhhh its just so annoying.

and to jake, if i just sold it to them, i could get a £5000 fine

the fake IDs, just accept it cuz your the seller and its not your responsibility. I doubt you can tell whose got fake ID and who has, but report if you find someone with it. Dont you have to wear a badge saying the law has changed or sommint? That's what shops round here do. If they've left their ID at home, it's their friggin fault yknow? Tell them to go to another shop, they'll probs get knocked back there anyway.

Tis what I'd do, even though I'd wanna give em a faceful of lip.
