    Default New Wireless Router

I need one for -£50, which is better than this crappy one i've got now, from Netgear. Which ones are reliable?
Are Belkin good? Are Linksys better?

Links to items would be helpful, and btw, stupid question coming here..

If i get a better router, will it improve my connection, or will it be down to the area im in or what?

    Many thanks.

I've got a Belkin at my dads, I didn't rate it. It was okay on my Xbox but when I connected to it from my laptop, it kept cutting out and wouldn't work, don't know why.. worked fine at home.

I have a D-Link one at my house now, it's perfect. Good connection all the time, works great and speeds are good. I use it for my Xbox and apart from lags from the internet connection (with it being a low package and others using it) it's fine.

Belkin seem to be a bit overpriced for me, the D-Link is releatively cheap and seems better than the Belkin.

I've never used Linksys so I can't comment but people have never reccomended Belkin to others.

http://www.game.co.uk/Xbox360/Hardwa...less-Modem/?s= Is also a very good gaming router.. The comments are very good so it must be good.

Yeah, cos my router would be downstairs and my xbox is upstairs, my current router is this crappy Netgear one, which ive had for years, at least like 5-6 years.
But would i have to get the "GeekSquad" or "TechGuys" to fit it in or will it be simple enough for me to set it up?

Usually they just plug into the phone line or something then you put a disc in and create a network.
