How can I stop users from posting in the Announcements forum on my forum?
I've changed the permissions, but maybe not as they should be.
Could you tell me how to do this?

There should be settings for parent forums I think you can click edit and you can put 'only allow x usergroups to post' or something like that - Long time since I used vB - sorry.
That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.

Permission manager make sure registered users can only see not reply / post.
