    cheers josh. i have had a look on google, amazon, ebay etc but i just cant get a straight answer anywhere. Can a standard one record from a HDMI slot because its HD gaming rather than SD.

    Nah Dazzle Platinum only records SD 60&50hz, they are still great quality though.
    I got mine and all the cables need from Maplin, cost me £70 for all it.
    No longer active on here

    Dazzle can record HD On Xbox it can anyway because you can change the Pal types and stuff, dunno about PS3 sorry mate.

    can it record through the HDMI cable though? as in SD even though its in HD. so like, itll still record that channel

    Um, I'm not sure. The way I do it is in the back of my TV I have 3 splitters and I put the Xbox and one end of the AV in the splitters then the other end of the AV cables into the Dazzle which is linked to my PC.

    There are plenty of video guides on Youtube how to wire it up and stuff and just find the stuff on amazon or something.
