If you can get into the BIOS, try to look for the boot device order list. Then change the first one to USB-HDD
When you turn on the computer just tap f10 repetitively (i think it's f10, might be f9. One of those) Then select boot from: USB.
I do this at school and use my XP Portable.
From what im aware its most commonly named "Removable"
so when you load it'll load the bios then press ESC/F2/F10 or whatever it says then select removable.
Is that the terrible XP live disk you put on either a CD or USB stick, or a genuine distribution of XP?
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
The boot menu varies from computer to computer, on mine it is F8, on my friends and going on what Stephen said F10. I wouldn't suggest going into the BIOS because it means saving settings, which in future could mess up booting up especially from a CD (e.g. Windows) so your best choice is what Stephen said, boot menu.
