...have a table that sorts columns in ascending or descending order?

Example if I have:

COLUMN 1 -------- COLUMN 2
CELL 1 ---------- CELL 2
CELL 2 ----------- CELL 2
CELL 3 ----------- CELL 3

So you would click COLUMN 2 or 1 and it would sort the values in descending or ascending order. (the values will be numbers, with pound signs or without, must be compatible)

HTML if possible? anybody kind enough to tell me how it is done? Thank you very much!
