Sound but no picture ?

I turned my 360 on before but there was no picture and I could hear the sound, i checked all the cable were in properly and still never worked, any ideas what it is ?

It wont be that cos I didnt take them out and I was on it before and it was fine

The HDTV switch is switched on the wrong setting?

The back of the Xbox, check if it is on HD or SD.

Done that. Ill probs just have to buy a new av cable from game or somewhere

This happened to my 2nd 360.

Try using a mate's AV cable first, or using yours on their xbox, because when this happened to me the xbox had stopped video output completely, no idea why, it just stopped working. The game shop tested it and replaced it with another one though.

I've tried it downstairs and it works with the hd cables so will it just be the normal av cables that is the problem
