Help with this layout?

Ok, I really need help with this layout for my fansite. It's due to open on Friday and the site isn't finished yet. Notice that on the left side in the Spotlight box the background shows. I have tried everything I could think of to try and fix it, but nothing worked. Help please?

It'd help if your code wasn't all on one line, here's your problem though:

<td colspan="2" background-image="" url('index_r9_c2.gif')">

It needs to be:

<td colspan="2" style="background-image: url('index_r9_c2.gif');">

I'm not sure you're going to get the site finished for friday if that's all you've got so far.
