Fireworks & Dogs! :(

Hiya, Im wondering if your dog/cat is acting really strange because of fireworks or w/e Its not even bonfire night and they are already going off! Hes acting really strange and hes barking at every little noise he hears and when he hears them bang he tries to hide anywhere he can get! Like last night there was one that went off at about 3:30 AM and he was yelping so i had to go down and see if he was ok.. Can the vets give you anything to calm them down?

and her dog always runs upstairs and hides on the bed.

Thanks for the replys and yeah my dog is always inside but at the night his tail just goes between his legs and he looks so miserable!

I'd try keeping it with you in a large room. Works fine for me.

Mine just bark constantly at them, and it's very annoying!

Mine ends up getting scared, starts shaking and constantly sits on my lap through it or just choose's to come up stairs and sleep on me. She is a very brave dog as you can tell.

Mine sleep :/ Boring animals! Is it allowed to sleep in your room at night? That's one option. I think vets do prescribe a sort of relaxing drug, but I'd imagine it would cost alot...

Just give it some alcohol. That should keep them calm for a while. Sure it's no recommended but it would probably do the trick.
