I am fairly certain there was only going to be a trilogy for the films... As in, not a 4th one... I can't see him being very good in it. In fact, he's a crap actor full stop

Not him! he's an awful actor and would have nothing to bring to the movie. He's lucky HSM has made a couple and became big otherwise his career would of ended by now.
