Don't think theres any reason to them flashing other than when it needs charging. When your machines loaded, hold/press the PS button and somewhere there'll be the battery level. Might be something wrong with your charge lead or w.e you wna call it

Connect it into the USB port with the USB cable and use the controller like that for a bit. Then unplug it and carry on using the controller, should be like normal.

I dont know what you mean.

Do they not stop flashing? This may mean its low on battery.

If they all light up, then turn into one single red light.
This means you have full battery, and are player one.

As i recently found out :eusa_wall

Or two, three, four depending on which light

Maybe because it's not linked to the PS3?

My controller looses connectivity every 10 minutes or so after I installed the 2.50 update. You have to press the PS button to reconnect. When you do that, all of the lights on the top of the controller flash.
