If you do not have a huge music library/do not need your entire library on the iPod, go for the iPod Touch, if you really need to and you have the money, get the 32GB one. However, if you have like 50GB of music and you want it all on your iPod, get the Classic. The Touch's screen is better though, and you get to use apps which are fun.

If you want the Touch upgrade, you need to pay $9.99 dollars i think it is for it.

The classics are quite nice, but if you reccon you wont use that much space, you would be better getting the ...

They come in various colours, and are a little bit cheaper than the classic, but alot thiner.

    Curved ahead of the curve.

iPod nano now comes in nine vibrant colours and a new curved aluminum and glass design. The crisp, bright picture makes watching videos amazing

You don't have to pay for the software upgrade. Only older iPod Touches which have been bought before the upgrade was released will have to pay the $9.99. And, you could get many free apps. Surely just entering your credit card would be no problem, apple is quite a trusted company. If you don't want to, then maybe go for the Nano as Kevin said. That depends on the size of your music library though.

I love my classic, so much space.
I can have as many podcasts and I want and not care really.
I have over 20+ movies on it and over 20GB of music.

ive got a 8g touch. its not even half my library, but it really isnt that bad. i usually have something i know i could live without to make room for other stuff. and the battery lasts really long, apparently not so for the 32g one though. the new nanos look pretty sweet though.
